Mobile Drawing Update: Full Touch Support
Donald Cjapi·
Draw Anywhere
Piktor now has full mobile drawing support. Whether you're on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device, you can create pixel art with the same tools available on desktop.
What's New
Touch Drawing
Draw with your finger or stylus. All 11 tools work with touch — pen, eraser, fill, shapes, spray, brush, gradient, eyedropper, and text.
Pinch to Zoom
Use pinch gestures to zoom in for detail work and zoom out for the big picture. The canvas supports 0.5x to 5x zoom.
Optimized Mobile Layout
The editor layout is redesigned for small screens:
- Compact tool buttons in a grid at the bottom
- Full-width canvas for maximum drawing space
- Swipe-accessible panels for layers and frames
Two-Finger Pan
While drawing with one finger, use two fingers to pan around the canvas. This is especially useful on larger canvases (64x64, 128x128) where you need to navigate while zoomed in.
Tips for Mobile Drawing
- Use a stylus for precision — even a cheap one helps enormously
- Work on smaller canvases (16x16, 32x32) for the best mobile experience
- Zoom in before doing detail work — fat fingers and tiny pixels don't mix
- Use mirror mode to halve your drawing work on symmetrical sprites
