New Canvas Sizes and Mirror Modes in Piktor

Donald Cjapi·

Bigger Canvases

We've added 128x128 canvas support to all editors. This gives you four times the area of our previous maximum (64x64) — enough for detailed character portraits, large environment tiles, and complex UI mockups.

Mirror Modes

Drawing symmetrical art just got easier with three mirror modes:

Horizontal Mirror

Everything you draw on the left is automatically mirrored on the right. Perfect for:

  • Front-facing character sprites
  • Symmetrical buildings and objects
  • UI frames and borders

Vertical Mirror

Top mirrors to bottom. Great for:

  • Reflections in water
  • Symmetrical patterns and mandalas

Both (H+V)

Four-way symmetry. Ideal for:

  • Kaleidoscope patterns
  • Floor tiles and decorative elements
  • Icons and emblems

How to Use

Select your mirror mode from the toolbar before drawing. A dotted guide line shows the mirror axis on your canvas. Everything you draw on one side automatically appears on the other.

Canvas Size Guide

  • 32x32: Standard game sprites, small characters
  • 64x64: Detailed characters, large tiles
